About Us
Senior software engineer Myles Dunlop began commercial software development in 1995. Since 1999 he has specialised in developing product and bespoke application software for Microsoft Windows. This has included project/technical leadership, and intensive application of Microsoft Visual C++/COM/ATL/MFC and some VBA clients. More recently, this has included .NET Framework technologies of VB.NET and C++/CLI on Visual Studio 2005 and automated unit testing using NUnit. Throughout this time, he has developed a strong background in following the complete software lifecycle to controlled procedures, and has personally acted as guide to external auditors annually.
Whereas more recent technical skills have been applied mainly in the materials testing industry, prior experience focussed on SQL / RDBMS database systems e.g. - Bespoke document and image storage and retrieval systems utilising proprietary database formats. - Oracle based Business systems of the deregulated retail gas shipping companies, handling such purposes as direct debit payments and cancellations. This work was done on the employment of a well known Uk based global software consultancy lasting over two years.
In the industry Myles Dunlop has developed a strong reputation in particular for delivery of new developments in a timely manner to accurate estimates, and as a strong troubleshooter of existing (perhaps undocumented) systems. As lead developer of Centre Line Principle Ltd, he will oversee or undertake development himself, employing associates with specialist skills (such as graphic design) if required by the project.
